My Heel Collection

his is my shoe collection to-date. Presenting this collection has been brought on by my post ‘Her Stash and Me’ where I go on about lack of time to dress, cataloguing everything and the problems stashing the stash. I have mentioned in various posts in the past about heels and my relationship to them, and so by popular demand..

I haven’t been collecting heels for very long, it started in Summer14. Before this time it never occurred to me to try and put a girl wardrobe together. Finding clothes and shoes in my size (43EU/9UK/11US)* was a totally frustrating, embarrassing and almost hopeless enterprise in the off-line world and so I just suppressed the idea.
I started to buy on-line all things under the sun from Amazon (UK and D). I have always been wary of putting my credit card and buying profile out there in the net, but I saw the advantages of using a central shop to access things that would be difficult if not impossible to buy otherwise. 
Now and then I would buy items for MrsA, which got me looking for things in my size and I was surprised to find an increase in the availability of heels that might fit me. Later when I started networking and interacting with other girls I took the plunge and ordered a pair and finialy after all those years I had a pair of heels that didn’t leave me thinking about major foot surgery. I was from then on hooked.

You will see that I have branched out to other sources for shoes in the meantime,each company has their pros & cons. The selections in my size is not that fantastic, not only do I have to consider the size but also price. I’m not going to spend the earth on a pair of heels that may not fit and never see the light of day. 
If I knew I could display (of course never wear size wise) a pair of Christian Louboutin heels under glass in the living room, I might consider to fork out the money (my favourite is here on the right)
I will update when I have more space to stash (therefore buy). 
But for the moment I have 'enough' heels to be walking on**...

	Blue 7.6cm 3.0”	And these are my second pair, bought at the same time of the black ones above, they were falling apart so they went.
	Black 11.0cm 4.3” NewLook	Ok but no real chance try them out.
	Black/Orange 7.6cm 3.0” OTTO	I have problems bucking up sling backs, I just can’t get the knack of doing them up! It’s a contortion act and these are a bit tight and don't hold one that well. Need more practice.
	Black 11.0cm 4.3” NewLook	These have a nice pattern of holes but are not visible here, height ok, bit tight as with most of my heels.
	Black 12.5cm 4.9" NewLook	Fit nice and snug, allowing one to walk with confidence. Have some nice patterned hose and a black leather mini to go with them.
	Black 9.5cm 3.7" NewLook	Nice and glittery, work well with my LBD also with some glitter.
	Black 15.0cm 5.9” Pleaser	Now when I saw the heel shape and height and in my size I just had to have them! Must admit that I can stand in them but just can’t walk that well my leg/ankle problem doesn't help.
	Black 12.0cm 4.7” NewLook	Not easy to put on, hold well, very walkable.
	Black 12.0cm 4.7” NewLook	My only boots, just had to have a pair! Putting them on is an act, with lots of pulling and wiggling of toes until they plop on! Removal not easy either!
	Mint 10.5cm 4.1” NewLook	Look nice but without practice not so easy to walk in, too much exposed foot..
	Mint 12.5cm 4.9" NewLook	I love the colour mint (see my Pinterest boards) these are my favourite, only they are very tight and squash my toes, but whats a little pain compared....
	Mint 11.5cm 4.5” NewLook	Easy to wear, main thing in mint!!
	Silver 14.5cm 5.7” 2.0cm 0.7” Andres Machado	Where very very cheap, no hold and not walkable.
	Silver 12.5cm 4.9“ Dorothy Perkins	Fit a little tight, height ok, angle of foot a little steep. Very glittery losing glitter by every contact.
	Apricot 12.5cm 4.9" NewLook	Have an apricot dress needed shoes to go with it, very walkable.
	Orange 17.5cm 6.9” Platform 4.5cm 1.8” Amazon	One of the first heels I bought, being also mad about orange. High platform no real hold, not a good pair of heels.
	Orange 11.0cm 4.3” NewLook	A little lose due to the open side, but look good, walkable and in orange!
	Orange/Purple 10.7cm 4.2” Andres Machado	Love the two colour combination! Again a little tight, but walkable have them also in green.
	White 14.5cm 5.7” platform 1.5cm 0.6” NewLook	Goes nicely with my latest white dress, surprisingly walkable even with the elevation and platform, they have a nice floral pattern as well, now need a wedding to gate crash!
	White 12.5cm 4.9" NewLook	More comfortable than the white ones above as they are open toe.
	Red 11.5cm 4.5” Pleaser	These were one of my first heels, I started low as I had no experience with elevation apart from my Cuban boy heels in my youth.
	Yellow 13.5cm 5.3” Pleaser	Also from Pleaser as with my black and red heels, the heel is not as high as with the black, but the angle of the foot is almost vertical and walking is a problem. Now I need an outfit to go with them.
	Blue 12.8cm 5.0” NewLook	I’m partial to cage shoes and blue, these just about fit (problem with the zip on the right foot). Quite walkable when I get the zip finally (almost) up!
	Blue 12.8cm 5.0” NewLook	One of my favourites, plenty of space for my toes. Had a long evening at work (alone) 'running' back and forth to the printer room every five minutes, on removing them to go home what a surprise being on the ground again! It felt all wrong!
	Navy Blue 7.6cm 3.0” NewLook	Bought these for a navy blue dress, nice fit and walkable.
	Brown 12.2cm 4.6" NewLook	My only Mary Janes, thay are so comfortable (wide fit)! even at that height, good hold, I can't go miles in them but I have the feeling I could!
	Green 12.8cm 5.0” Andres Machado	This are the same model as with the Orange/Purple ones above, just 'needed' green for the collection..
	Coral 13.0cm 5.1" NewLook	Love the lace like material and the colour, just had to have them! There is room for my toes too.
	Pink 13.0cm 5.1" NewLook	Now I need the outfit plus hat and a second wedding to drop in on..
	Pink 13.0cm 5.1" Platform 2.2cm 0.8” NewLook	Yes pink, but a very decent pink not good to see in this picture. Walkable and fit well.
	Beige 15.5cm 6.1" Platform 4.0cm 1.5" NewLook	Now when I saw these in my size and judged the angle to be non-critical they were in the shopping basket like a shot! I was a little hesitant being a little wary with the height of the platform. I knew it would be a different walking method to flat soles and it’s was! Not easy without a good balance and lots of practice.
	Beige 14cm 5.5" NewLook	As these tie up at the front I just had to have them, fit well and very walkable even at this height.
	Beige 13.7cm 4.5" NewLook	They were only 10€ ! Did I have a choice? Maybe the cheapest I have, but the most worn around the house.
	Tan 12.0cm 4.7” NewLook	Fit well (wide fit), don't give as much hold as one would like, need to practice when I get the chance.
	Tan 14.0cm 5.5” NewLook	A bit high but with the wedge heel walkable.
	Red 0.0cm 0.0" Amazon	Something to wear between my elevated adventures in heel-land.
	Black 0.0cm 0.0" NewLook	A little tight in the toes.
